IOSUD - ULS "King Mihai I" Timisoara includes two doctoral schools:

1. Doctoral School of Veterinary Medicine (SD-MV), with 1 doctoral domain:

The examination for the admission contest at doctoral studies cycle consists of a written exam, from the topic set by the doctoral supervisor, followed by an interview on the research topic chosen.

The admission schedule for doctoral studies for the year of study 2026-2027 is: 

July session:

- application period: 13-17 July;

- examination period: 20-21 July;

- submission and resolution of appeals: 22 July;

- display of final results: 23 July;

September session:

- application period: 14-18 September;

- examination period: 21-22 September;

- submission and resolution of appeals: 23 September;

- display of final results: 24 September;

Enrollment for 2026-2027 – 30 September.

To register for admission, candidates (graduates in Romania)/authorized persons will submit the following documents:

A. In original:

1. Application form - download;
2. Curriculum vitae;
3. List of published scientific papers (if applicable);
4. Master's degree graduation certificate for candidates who passed the dissertation exam in the 2025 - 2026 session.
5. Proof of payment of the fee for application (The beneficiary’s IBAN number along with the candidate’s name and the words “Doctoral studies” must be referred to on the proof of payment!

All fees and taxes (admission, enrolment, urgent delivery and tuition) must be paid in Euro, in the following account:

*USVT 2026 graduates benefit from a 50% reduction in the doctoral application fee

B. In original and photocopies thereof for certification "according to the original" at the time of registration – documents translated in Romanian or English (if necessary):

a. birth certificate;

b. administrative document of name change (if applicable);

d. high school diploma;

e. Bachelor's degree certificate (with the related annexes as appropriate: transcript, diploma supplement);

f. advanced studies/master's degree (with annexes, as appropriate: transcript or diploma supplement);

g. identity card/passport.

h. for candidates enrolled in doctoral university study programs taught in Romanian and who do not present the necessary study documents for enrollment, issued by educational institutions in Romania or abroad, taught in Romanian, an interview in Romanian will be held which will be assessed with the grade of admitted or rejected. Only candidates who obtain the grade of admitted may enroll in the admission competition. By way of exception, for candidates who have studied in an internationally circulated language or in a language of national minorities, the certification of linguistic skills in oral communication in Romanian is done with the baccalaureate diploma.
